Privacy Policy

This policy describes what data Interviewdomhandles when you use our website and desktop application, why we handle it, and the choices you have. The short version: your content is yours, it lives on your device first, and we don't sell data or run ad tracking.

Data you create in the app

Your goals, resumes, interview reports and saved questions are stored locally on your device. When you are signed in, this data also syncs to your account so it follows you across machines. If you use the app without signing in, it stays local.

Audio during sessions

During practice and live sessions, audio (your microphone and, where supported, system audio) is processed to produce transcripts — that's how questions are detected and answers suggested. Transcripts become part of your session history, which you control and can delete.

AI processing

Answer generation is powered by Google Gemini and OpenAI. Interview content — transcribed questions, your resume and job-description context, and anything you capture with the on-screen capture shortcut — is sent to these providers to generate answers. If you use bring-your-own-key mode, requests go to the provider under your own API key.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of your purchase (plan, amount, order reference) but we do not store your card details — those go to Razorpay only.

Usage metering

When you use AI features served by our hosted engine, we record per-request usage events tied to your account. We use these to enforce plan limits and to understand how the product is used (product analytics). Usage events record that a request happened — they are not a copy of your interview content.

Website analytics and cookies

Site analytics run only if you accept the cookie banner, and they are first-party — events go to our own endpoint, not to a third-party tracker. We do not use advertising trackers, and declining consent does not limit the site.

What we do not do

Deleting your data

You can delete your session history from the app's settings. To delete your account and everything synced to it, email support@interviewdom.com from your account email address.
