Interview prep in 14 languages — including Hinglish

Interviewdom works in English, Hindi, Hinglish and 11 other Indian languages, for both practice and live guidance. Here's why that matters more than it sounds.

Interviewing in your second language is a double cognitive load. You're simultaneously deciding what to say — structuring the story, remembering the metric, anticipating the follow-up — and how to say it in a language you don't think in. Either task alone is manageable. Together, under pressure, they crowd each other out.

That's why Interviewdom supports 14 languages for both practice and live guidance:

English, Hinglish, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia and Assamese.

Why Hinglish is a first-class option

If you've worked in an Indian office, you know that the language of real professional conversation is often neither pure English nor pure Hindi — it's the natural mix people actually speak. A candidate who is fluid and confident in Hinglish can sound stilted when forced into textbook English, and vice versa.

So Hinglish isn't a translation layer in Interviewdom — it's a dedicated answer style. When you select it, suggestions arrive phrased the way you'd naturally say them, alongside the semi-formal, formal and cultural-round modes. You can also define custom styles and response-format overrides if your target company has a particular register.

Practice in the language of the interview

The most reliable way to reduce language pressure is to rehearse in the language the interview will actually happen in. Interviewdom's mock interviews work in any of the 14 supported languages, so you can:

  • Run a behavioral mock in Hindi for a campus placement panel.
  • Practice a phone screen in English for a multinational recruiter.
  • Rehearse in Hinglish for the conversational rounds where that's what everyone will actually speak.

Each mock ends with a scored report — competencies, strengths, improvement areas and per-question feedback — so you're improving the answer, not just repeating it.

Live guidance that meets you where you think

During a real conversation, the live assistant transcribes what's being asked and suggests answers grounded in your resume and the job description — in your selected language and style. If you think in Telugu and interview in English, you can keep your guidance wherever it helps most.

One honest caveat: language support helps you express what you know; it doesn't change what you know. The preparation — understanding your own projects, knowing the role, having your stories ready — is still the work. Interviewdom just makes sure language isn't the thing that hides it.

Getting started

Language and answer style are part of the setup flow: upload your resume, add the job description, pick your target role and choose how you want to sound. It takes a few minutes, and you can start free — no credit card required. If you're a student heading into placement season, the students page covers how graduates use this in practice.

Your experience got you the interview. Interviewdom helps you communicate it.
